Jul. 14th, 2018 07:59 pmEven though it has been a little cooler in recent days I am SO not coping.
1) I must either have very itchy eyes or merely slightly itchy eyes and debilitating drowsiness
2) Even on days I take no Aunty Histamines I have v. little energy
3) It was as much as I could do today to walk in Croggy just to go to Iceland
4) Iceland Management at the Crogg branch is TERRIBLE they have like one till open when there is a queue long enough to block passage for the whole store
5) I queued for about fifteen mins behind a lady who COULD NOT
a) pack her own shit into bags
b) refrain from arranging home delivery for the stuff that was LITERALLY IN FRONT OF HER
6) Of course it was a warm day so all my frozen foods were probably thawed by about ten minutes after leaving the shoppppp
7) I am rereading Godel Escher Bach it is great but it is so warm I keep nodding off and daydreaming about whether MIU has theoremhood when OF COURSE IT DOESN'T
8) I rewatched Orange is the Season Five Black I like season five except for a few things
a) There is a whacking great hole in the fence and only Tucky and Chang go through it, not counting Maria and the hostages
b) You'd think the CERT people would have people stationed at the guard houses anyway maybe? I don't know. It is warm.
c) Apart from that it is great. I love Maria she is my Machiavellian fave. I love Gloria and I love Frieda and I of course love Nicky and Morello and I love Taystee's entire squad espesh Black Cindy who is kind of who I would like to be in prison, that is someone who very bad at being in prison but in an amusing way.
d) I like that I tend to have slightly diff favourites in each season apart for Morello who is my consistent fave. It shows that they care about developing even minor characters, like I loved Linda From Purchasing this season even though she had previously been somewhat unpromising as a longer-term character
e) The Healy actor's name was in the credits but he wasn't in a single scene. I do love when they bring back old characters in flashbacks, I loved the Poussey scene but I also loved that Larry pronounced Spiderman like he was some Jewish guy he knew.
f) Laura Prepon who is Vause directed the episode where a giant man broke her arm and tortured her and other characters so I imagine the discussion went something like "OK so in this scene you have to hurt me and I will beg you to stop, except DON'T stop until I shout CUT, which I won't be able to because will be gagged with duct tape the whole time OK ACTION"
9) I went to the wedding of Jonjo Roberts and Laura Neamt last week, her father pronounced her name differently each time he is such a troll. Laura made a very winning bridge there are photos of her necking a bottle of champers and also blowing bubbles with a bubble blowing thing. Jonj was dressed kinda as Ralph from Ted and Ralph, he got his togs from TK MAXX he said. Other things:
a) Me and Barm and Melanie were placed on what seemed at first to be the LOUD PERSONS TABLE but it turned out to be the COMEDY table because the others had met Laura when doing like a comedy improv course or something. The man who ran the course was called "Silky" perhaps and was very quick witted which was all the more impressive because it was warm.
b) There was a small succulent for each guest so now I have a small succulent in my bathroom and it has not died yet and it had been a whole week.
10) I saw a fly disguised as a bee in the same bathroom this week. I knew that moths sometimes dress up as bees but I didn't know flies did. It was called a HOVER FLY. It died, but I am not that sad because REAL bees > FAKE bees.
