I enjoyed this ep. Good character stuff, decent plot. Although the premise had a flavour of Enlightenment, I was also reminded of Alan Wareing's quarry episodes, Greatest Show and Survival, in terms of general atmosphere and somewhat cartoonish supporting characters. Nice music.

Opening Titles: Kinda back to basics. I'm not totally sold but they are an improvement on the last lot.

TARDIS: Love the new police box, not overly keen on the new interior, but I survived several years of coral-vomit so eeeeh

Jodie: Settling in nicely. Feels like the Doctor, delivers Doctorish lines well. Perhaps a little too rapid in delivery at times, but nothing major. The costume, as they usually are, is less objectionable in use than in posed photos.

Baddie: Spooky and nicely realised, if a bit generic in terms of their aims and voice. I could have lived without the hints about the Doctor's past, I'm a bit burned out on that and think it would be more refreshing if Doctor Who was just Doctor Who for a couple of years, rather than ABOUT Doctor Who as has been the case more often than not in recent years.

Companions: Fine, though they need a little more to do. I did like Ryan's Call of Duty interlude.

Overall: better than last week's and generally very promising. PLEASE DON'T FUCK UP ROSA PARKS
