Meanwhile I discover that another bit of the house is unsafe, this time is it something to do with how the gas fire in the living room is installed. I am not allowed to use it, they sealed it off, it is HAZARDOUS OMG! Since I have been vaguely thinking about getting a wood burner put in, perhaps I should do that now while the weather is still reasonably fine. In my head it is a complicated thing, like I would need the chimney swept? I don't know. I don't like home maintenance, it is a pain.
